My bullseye .45 — a Custom wad gun |
|
This is a .45 “Wad Gun” built on a Caspian frame and slide that I have recently acquired. This will be my primary Bullseye .45 going forward. It has a 5” barrel, full-length aluminum Weaver rail with a slide racker and a slide-mounted Ultradot 1” dot sight. The trigger is crisp with very little creep or over-travel. I like the way it is set up as received; I won’t screw around with it until I have a chance to test it thoroughly. I recently purchased this as a replacement for my Pardini GT-45, which has been traded away for a Pardini PGP-75 Free Pistol. I will be putting this Caspian through the paces in the very near future. All of the details, good or bad, will be on this page as I baseline the gun and develop a load for competition.
I’m looking forward to it …
Update — March 2007 I’ll be working up a starting load and giving the pistol it’s first workout on Sunday, March 25th. Wish me luck !! Current Status — June 2007 As discussed in my Blog, I have been concentrating my efforts on International style shooting so far this summer. |
