Rob's Competition Shooting Training Log
A log of my return to competition shooting after shoulder surgery, diabetes, and eye surgery
Entry for September 26, 2008

Much has happened since my last post. I concentrated on IDPA shooting this spring exclusively. In addition, I followed through on my thinking from last year and sold off my Bullseye gear.

After shooting 10 or 15 IDPA matches in a three month period, business travel again reared its oh-so-ugly head, and I haven't shot a match since June. I'll do my best to change things, but reality sucks.

I also flirted with Highpower rifle this spring, acquiring a Bushmaster DCM in a trade. Long story shortened, I don't have the eyesight to mess around with Service Rifle sights. Maybe Match Rifle, but I am inclined to skip right to Optics and all-prone: F-Class is in the works. I've purchased a rifle that should arrive in a week or two. More to come on that front.

I also am taking an extended hiatus from International Pistol. Me being me, I sold everything! Action Pistol and Precision Rifle from here on out. In retrospect, a competitive shooter has to give rifle shooting a try at some point. That will be my focus for the next year or two.
