My how time flies. It's been over a week since my last post - I've done very little Bullseye shooting this past week. The weather has been bad, or I've been busy with other things. I have managed to keep my Air Pistol and weight training schedule intact, which is a good thing. The last two Thursday night sessions at the indoor range have been dedicated to a new pursuit - Sporterifle. I have a Sako Finnfire .22 that I set up last year to give Smallbore Silhouette a try. Shoulder problems caused unexpected delays in that endeavor, but I broke the gun out to do a little practicing in advance of the next season start (early September).

It's been quite a while since I shot a rifle offhand for score! Last week, I really never got my act together, and the targets certainly showed it. I could have done better with my .22 pistol offhand, which is more than a little embarrasing. This week, I had my stuff in one sock technique-wise and shot much better. Personal best of the session is attached - one note, fatigue was a major factor by the 5th target (about 80 shots with sighters). I plan to dedicate Thursday nights to this discipline until the start of the season - at least I won't have my pistols all screwed up from sighting in at 50 feet again Image

I plan on getting a page together dedicated to sporterifle. More to come ...
