Rob's Competition Shooting Training Log
A log of my return to competition shooting after shoulder surgery, diabetes, and eye surgery

Loads of action the last couple of days. I've replaced the recoil lug on the .45 and mounted up the Truglo sight. I hope it performs as well as it looks, the qualitative difference between this sight and the Optima is obvious. I've gotten 300 rounds loaded up for testing, 185gr. JHP over 5.2gr American Select (it was in the hopper, why not ...). I've also loaded up a box of Rem 185gr. JSWC over 4.9gr Bullseye. I'm hoping that the JSWC's work out for the long line, JHP's for the short line.

I've also received the CM-22 accessories I ordered from Pilkington. They offered to let me try-and-buy a magazine and barrel weights. Not too many vendors would go the extra mile like they do.

The magazine fits perfectly, and appears to be better finished than my R.B.A.'s. We shall see if it can outperform them for reliability. The barrel weights were also a perfect fit, which will allow me to tweak the setup for maximum comfort and balance. Very groovy stuff, weather permitting I'm back on the range tomorrow morning. The photo shows the R.B.A. with it's the new Morini mag (left) and barrel weights.
