Notes
Each Kazak (or Zaporozhian) FT unit may buy a Linear Obstacle. The limit in AA, section 16, p. 31 does NOT apply. The Levy is NOT included....
* Don Kazak LC may dismount at deployment. They become SI 2[1]1, +2 PROT, Bows, BP=2. They may NOT remount
** Zaporozhian LC are treated like Dragoons. They may dismount during the game ONLY if the entire division dismounts. They are classified as LC instead of Dragoons because they can about-face and move. They may NOT shoot and move.
*** If any Tatars are bought, then the number of Tatar units bought must be equal or greater than the total number of Kazak cavalry (including Zaporozhians). This reflects a general lack of Kazak horse, which was provided in turn by the Tatars.
**** Levy does NOT cause routed into checks. Their routs were expected and considered normal by the Kazaks, who looked down on them as did the Polish.
List covers the rebellions starting in 1619 and ending around 1638, the Rebellion of Bodgan Khemilnitski (1648-1652) which ended with Ukrainian independence for 10 years - the last time until 1991. The Zaporozhian foot were, for the most part, marines who operated from boats (unfortunately, there is no provision for this in Armati).
